The Coral Sands

The Coral Sands was built in 1960 by Wilfred & Laura Adkins. For 60 years, the Coral Sands has been a  family owned and operated establishment. In 1980, Wilfred's son Stiles & wife Jane took over until 2019.  Starting in 2020, Wilfred's grandson Law and his wife Amy are now operating the Coral Sands.

​The storm of 1962 flooded the entire 1st floor.

In 1984 a fire started on the 2nd floor, and destroyed the entire 3rd floor and 1 unit on the 2nd floor. Extensive smoke and water damage required total renovation.

A storm in 1992 flooded the 1st floor.

The building stands 3 stories high and houses 15 apartments with front and back decks. The building has stood the test of time. Most of the units have tiled floors and new mattresses. Rattan beach furniture is used throughout the units.
